The Bahá’í World Centre is the name given to the spiritual and administrative centre of the Bahá’í Faith which is a monotheistic religion founded by Bahá’u’lláh in 19th-century in Persia
The World Centre in Israel consists of the Shrine of Bahá’u’lláh near Acre and the Shrine of the Báb and various other buildings and its gardens on Mount Carmel sited in the City of Haifa the largest city in northern part of Israel, and the third-largest city in the country.
The Bahá’í World Centre in Haifa built along the years had opened its last monumental new buildings and suggestive garden terraces on the slops of Mount Carmel in the 22 of July 2001 and added a great heritage to the world having been assigned officially by UNESCO as a World Heritage site on 15 July 2001.
Years ahead of the opening of this important project we had been involved with our partners, proposing a unique white Marble from own ancient Carrara quarry in Tuscany. We had offered a marble which had the heights Technical & Physical values to grantee the quality of the stone for long life century’s ahead, maintaining its color and texture. We had been assigned with our partners from Italy to quarry immense quantity of selected cubic meters of marble blocks and to work them according to the requested cutting drawings. It was assigned to fulfill up to the smallest request of particular finishes, engravings, edges, joints and else requested, all to be performed under state of art.
Eagle sculptor
The order consisted of manufacturing massive marble exterior and interior cladding and huge massive columns as well as balustrades, fountains, paving and sculptures, all performed to donate high values to the various needs of the impressive architectural design headed by Architect Fariborz Sahba.
In 1987, Mr. Sahba was assigned by the Bahá’í World Centre the task of designing 18 terraces as a majestic approach to the Shrine of the Báb, the martyred Herald of the Bahá’í Faith,as well also appointed project manager to execute the Bahá’í World Centre building projects on Mount Carmel.
Centre for the Study of the Sacred Texts
Built in the third stage of the building of the Arc, the Centre for the Study of the Sacred Texts is the base of the scholars and translators who study and translate the Bahá’í texts to assist the Universal House of Justice. The architect was Hossein Amanat and it was completed in 1999.
The total building area space is 7750 m² consists of study rooms, meeting rooms and conference rooms and a large reference library. The building is integrated into the mountain with a portico that reflects the classical motifs of the other buildings which are a mixture of iconographic architecture language which had taken Greek and Italian motifs, looking to donate to the site architecture symbolic approach to the Bahá’í Faith.
In the center of the impressive opened skylight had installed a huge circular fountain made of unique hard limestone, which radiates harmony and tranquility by the voice of the falling water.
White marble paving had been performed, balustrades, copings as well as various holy hand engravings from the hollyBahá’í texts.
The interiors had been supplied with special red granite pavement and various detailed works which donate this interior project a great splendor and sublime research and studies atmosphere.
Seat of the International Teaching Center
The Seat of the International Teaching Center is the place where the International Teaching Center is based. The architect was Hossein Amanat based in Canada and it was completed in 2001. It is a very impressive building constructed on the eastern part of the Bahá’í World Center in Haifa.
The International Teaching Center is the fourth building of the Arc Complex. The use of classic architecture was important for the integration of the building into the context of the World Center and the surrounding gardens. It consists of a 400 seat auditorium, meeting and conference rooms, cafeteria, and parking that cover 18 700 m² over 9 levels. To respect the beauty of the gardens and create a suitable scale, only four of the total nine stories are visible outside. The auditorium in the lower levels of the building is a key function of the International Teaching Center.
For this project were performed all the Exterior cladding marble elevations and Interior facing marble slabs all made with massive pieces, worked according to cutting list including many spectacular marble details.
Circular colonnade of massive shaped columns and particular panelled ceiling work had been performed to donate to this project unique architectural quality to fit this unique great architectural project.
The interiors had been supplied with special granite works and beige paving.
The Terraces
The Terraces are concentric circles garden form of nine terraces above and nine below the Shrine of the Báb on Mount Carmel within Haifa, Israel.

Nine concentric circles thus provide the main geometry of the eighteen terraces. Just as the identification of a circle presupposes a centre, so the terraces have been conceived as generated from the Shrine of the Báb. The eighteen terraces plus the one terrace of the Shrine of the Báb make nineteen terraces total. Nineteen is a significant number within both the Bahá’í and Bábí religions
Curved balustrades elaborated in Italy from Israeli local stone including special coping. The balustrades had been curved by special 5 axes cutting machine and all hand made finished and polished.
Various fountains had been performed from different stones and marbles.

Visitors Center
The Visitors Centre is an underground structure on the 11th terrace behind the Shrine of the Báb on Mount Carmel within Haifa, Israel. It can be found on street level under the Hatzionut Ave’ Bridge which the terraces pass over.
In the muggier hall center had been manufactured the special with white marble and the special circular massive marble benches.
